

James H. Quinn passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on December 11th, 2013 at the age of 80. During his final months, Jim struggled with complications of Alzheimer's Disease. Jim lived and raised his family in Dallas, retiring from Nation's Bank after 38 years, and then retiring to Georgetown to be closer to his five grandchildren in Lakeway and San Antonio.
Jim was an avid fan of the Lake Travis Youth Association, YMCA football, baseball and basketball in Alamo Heights, his granddaughter's tennis matches in Lakeway, Hudson Bend Middle School volleyball and girls basketball, and grandsons being a part of state football championships at Alamo Heights (beating Johnny Manziel and Robert Griffin, III) and Lake Travis (beating Johnny Football again, twice). Jim was both an Alamo Heights Mule and Lake Travis Cavalier, attending as many practices, games, and banquets as he could with his wife, Jeffaline.
He is survived by his soul mate of 55 years, Jeffaline; son, Mike Quinn and daughter-in-law Nora; daughter, Kelly Quinn O'Brien; brother and sister-in-law, Dave and Maureen McCarley; nephew and niece, Chris and Emily McCarley; and grandchildren, Josh, Sean, and Jonathan O'Brien, and Kevin and Megan Quinn. He will also be missed by Mike and Nora's oldest daughter Jette, her husband Eric, and Jim and Jeff's great-grandchildren Royal and Fynn Roberts.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 21st, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Cook Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, Jim would have appreciated donations to the Salvation Army and any Alzheimer's research foundation.
