Jeanette Lee (Morrison) Sloane
Born March 2 1946, Newark, OH – Died January 29 2013 12:53 PM, Austin TX

Jeanette, or as my family called her, Jeannie, I called her Ma, was the most beautiful, kind hearted, strongest woman I have ever known. She was a survivor. During her life she saw many places while traveling the world with her family while growing up as her Father proudly served in the United States Air Force for 30 years.
One of those places that she traveled to was Westhampton Beach, Long Island, New York, where she finished High School and met my Father. If her Father had not been stationed there, I would not exist. I thank God my Grandfather was stationed there, my mom met my dad, and they gave me life.
I was born in a very turbulent era in 1965, while this nation was at war in Vietnam and at war with itself. The ramifications of that war have had a huge ripple effect upon many lives, including my mother's and mine. However, my mother was a survivor like I've never seen anyone before. She raised me up as a single mother and worked 2 jobs to support me, even though I was a troubled kid, she continued to support me and stand up for me. She taught me many things, including manners, which I didn't start using really until I was grown, but they have always stuck with me to this day.
She taught me the meaning of responsibility, especially working to earn my own money. I started working for money since I was 10 years old, and we even worked at the same restaurant together, her as a waitress, me as a dish washer.
She had the most beautiful green eyes, like emeralds, which was her favorite stone. Her hair was always so shining and beautiful. She lived life to the fullest from her heart even through the toughest of times. She loved her family and friends from the bottom of her heart and soul, and was always funny and the life of the party, no matter what.
Although we always did not see eye to eye on many things, we had a very special, unique, mother and son relationship. We laughed, loved, had fun and went to many rock concerts together, which we both enjoyed immensely. We both had the same taste in music. She always told me I was her world and the best thing that ever happened to her in her life, even with her last breaths, and she was my world too. We both made many of the same mistakes in life, but learned from them.
Although we would argue, the love never stopped. Like she said, we both were very much alike, and when 2 people are alike, they clash, but the love never stopped. She wrote in a letter that if there is a way to contact me after her death she would. She said, “I'll return my ghost to clean your tub! Ha Ha!”
That's the way she was, always looking out for me, and everyone else for that matter. And always joking around, like me. 
She always liked Billy Graham, the Evangelist. In 1993 I was saved and born again. Through much perseverance, I convinced her to give her life to Christ and she became born again. She did and it was the most important decision she made in her life, as well as anyone else's life, that is, where you are going to spend eternity. She chose everlasting life, and now she has it. All she ever wanted, more love than she can handle and a mansion in our Heavenly Father's house.
I could go on and on for days, about my mom. Before she died she thanked me for everything, and I thanked her for life and we said our goodbyes. I told her she was going to be carried to Heaven by His angels to see Jesus, and she was going to have the love she always wanted, and a Mansion in the Father's house ( although she only wanted a little house of her own here on earth, God gave her much more). She said “hopefully, He will give me more love than I can handle”, and I told her He would. Well, her hopes have come true, and now she has what she searched for her whole life, forever and ever. She wanted to be buried by a tree, and have daffodils brought to her in the spring, and that's just what she will get!!

I will see you again one day Ma, and what a day that will be of rejoicing!!
You will always be my shining Emerald in the sky and I will patiently wait to see you again, where we will be together for eternity!! I love you Ma, Love always, Bobby!!

Next, I will say a few words about choices in life, then give everyone else an opportunity to say some words about my mom. If you have a bible, please turn to John 3:3 -8, then John 3:16, John 14:1-4. Finally, turn to Romans 10: 9-10.

To you and your entire family please accept my condolences. We do not seem to realize until they are gone what blessings our family bestowes upon us. May God ease your pain and walk you thru this painful but inevitable time of life

I was very sorry to hear about my good friend Jeannie.  I have known her from high school until now and I will miss her greatly but I know she is in a better place and looking down on us. She could always make me laugh during our phone conversations and I loved that about her. She talked alot about Roger, her brother and Bobby, her son.  She loved you both so very much and thought the world of you both.  You both put the sparkle in her eyes so please know that during your loss.  I pray for comfort to the family during this time. I have many wonderful memories of my sister Jeanie.  I loved her dearly.  She touched so many lives.  My heart is broken.

SO SORRY TO HEAR OF THE DEATH OF JEANETTE.MY SISTER AND I WENT THRU HIGH SCHOOL IN WESTHAMPTON BEACH AND HAD MANY MEMORABLE MOMENTS TOGETHER. MY CONDOLENCES GO OUT TO THE FAMILY.

What a dear friend she was to me.  Bobby I want to say how very proud she was of you and how much she loved you. We spoke often and the conversation was full of wonderful things about you and your growing up years.  I know you will miss her but just remember you will be together again.
