Jerry Lynn Holden was born on July 17, 1931 in San Angelo, Texas to a family of West Texas pioneers. He had two brothers and two sisters, with only his youngest brother, Orbry D. Holden, a current resident of Georgetown, surviving him.
Jerry joined the U.S. Air Force in 1951, during the peak of the Korean War. Jerry served as a staff sergeant in the Defense Intelligence Agency with assignments in 27 countries. During his service in Japan he married the love of his life, Tsue. Their marriage lasted for over 60 years, until her death in 2013.
Shortly after Tsue’s death, Jerry moved into the Wesleyan at Estrella Assisted Living and Memory Care. Jerry suffered with the devastating effects of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease during the last few years of his life. He passed away on Memorial Day, May 27, 2019.
