Kelly Wayne Whitehead

Kelly Wayne Whitehead, age 50, of Manor, Texas, died October 7, 2012 in Smithville, Texas of cancer. He was born in Georgetown, Texas on December 28, 1961 to parents Colbert Lafayette Whitehead and Undine Judy Sien. Kelly was a lifelong farmer in the New Sweden area. He was very active with Cub Scout Pack #182 and member of the St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Elgin, Texas.

Preceding him death were his father Colbert Lafayette Whitehead and grandparents Undine Charlton Sien Bales, Louis Ernest Sien Jr., Robert Frank Whitehead and Lela Simmons Whitehead.

He is survived by his mother, Undine Judy Siens of Bastrop, Texas; son, Keifer “Hondo” Jerome Whitehead and his mother Janice Ging of Elgin, Texas; sisters, Carri Lou Biller and husband Harry of Harpers Ferry, West Virginia and Patricia Ann Whitehead of Bastrop, Texas; step-father, Donald Ray Olson of Manor, Texas; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and many, many friends.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 A.M. with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Elgin, Texas with The Reverend Bridget Thien officiating. A second visitation will be held at 10:00 A.M. with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, October 11, 2012 in the chapel of Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas with Reverend Doug Bell officiating. Interment will follow at Williams-Buck Cemetery in Liberty Hill, Texas.

Serving as pallbearers will be Terry Wayne Prinz, Tommy Carl Prinz Jr., Russell Travis Colbert Tucker, Robert Edward Cairns IV, Eric Neil Kaatz, Matthew Ryan Kaatz and Nicholas Dylan Kaatz. Honorary pallbearers will be the families of Cub Scout Pack #182.
