

Captain Kenneth A. May (U.S. Army Retired), age 65, of Georgetown, Texas, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 17, 2010. He was born on June 19, 1945 in Clewiston, Florida to parents Edgar May and Leona (Motes) May. Kenneth served 20 years in the U.S. Army and was stationed all over the world. He was a decorated Vietnam veteran and also served in Desert Storm. After retiring from active duty, Kenneth served another 22 years of civil service with the Department of Defense. He was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ where he remained active until his passing. He also served as a deacon at several congregations.
He was an accomplished mechanic, gardener, beekeeper, plumber and electrician. Kenneth could fix anything that was broken and was everyone's "Mr. Honey Do". He was also an avid dog lover.
Kenneth was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend, and "good neighbor" who will be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents Edgar and Leona May and brothers Lawton, Charlie and Howard May.
Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Patsy May of Georgetown, Texas; daughters: Kimberly Fuller and husband John of Allen, Texas, Julie May of New Braunfels, Texas and Tasha May of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Guerin and Jasa Fuller both of Allen, Texas; brothers, John May and wife Wanda of Pelham, Georgia and Jerry May and wife Elaine of Ringgold, Tennessee; sisters, Betty Royals of Douglas, Georgia and Elizabeth Nash of Madison, Georgia; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive guests for a time of visitation from 6:00- 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 Georgetown Church of Christ with Ministers Whit Pennock, Ismael Berlanga and Shawn Montandon all officiating. Interment will follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Georgetown, Texas.
