

In Loving Memory of Kenneth Ray Strickland (1952-2008) "We look not at what can be seen, but at what cannot be seen; For what can be seen is temporary, but what cannot be seen is Eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:18. Ken was in an unfortunate automobile accident on April 14, 2008. He is survived by his loving wife, Juanita Strickland; daughters, Samantha and Tammy Strickland; son, Thomas Strickland; step-daughter and husband, Angela and James Carter; step-son and wife, Robert and Holly Toungate; and grandchildren, Shelby and Brandon Carter. Ken served in the U.S. Army completing a tour in Vietnam. For the past nine years he has been a devoted employee at Southwestern University as Shop Manager of the Fondren-Jones Science Hall. He has been a long-time Georgetown resident and leaves behind many friends and family. Ken never knew a stranger, and was always willing to help anyone. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Thursday, April 17th, at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel, Georgetown, Texas. The Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Friday, April 18th at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel. A brief graveside service will be at 3:00 pm at Jeffrey Cemetery, McMahan, Texas.
