Leona Mae (Standridge) Sosa

Leona was preceded in death by her parents Phillip and Leah Hazelton and grandparents Earl and Geneive Durfee and Erwin and Doris Hazelton.

Leona is survived by her children Zachary Standridge of Gatesville, Texas, Justin Standridge and wife Christina of Wisconsin, William Standridge and wife Fathom of Florence, Texas and Lisa Dones and husband Jesse of Florence, Texas. She is survived also by Barry Sosa, her friend and companion and the man she loved with all her heart!

She also has and loved her five granddaughters, Makala, MaKinzie, Dallas, Jordan and Mariah and three grandsons, Jesse Jr., Nathan and Slade.

Leona also has three sisters, Doris Kain of Michigan, Mary Ellen Eisele of Michigan and Phillis Hazelton of Michigan and a brother, John Hazelton of Florida.

The family will receive guests for a time of visitation from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at Young Memorial Chapel in Florence, Texas. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at First Baptist Church in Florence with Pastor Troy Allen officiating. Interment will follow at Florence City Cemetery in Florence.

Pallbearers will be Alan Richmond, Ricky Carmen, Mark Priest, Darrell Gray, Rusty Nichols and Butch Garvin. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Johns and Mike Green.

The family would like to thank all those who have helped and supported Leona through her illness.
