

Lillian Agnes Stack Wade, 98, was born July 27, 1914, in Waco, Texas. She grew up in Harlingen, Texas, and graduated from Fruitland Institute in North Carolina. After high school, she attended Mars Hill College and later transferred to the University of Texas at Austin. She was a devoted wife and loving aunt to numerous nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and nephews. As an energetic and independent woman she was a successful rancher in West Texas. In addition to ranching she was a school teacher and successful real estate agent. Agnes was very generous with her time and resources. She helped many people in their time of need. In the late 1990’s she established the LASCO Foundation, an organization dedicated to granting college scholarships to deserving high school seniors. She was an active member of Leander First Baptist Church. Agnes was preceded in death by her first husband Carl Stevens of Eldorado, Texas, her second husband Lewis Bunk Wade of Leander, Texas, two sisters, Grace Stack Sherman, Martha Stack Lowrance and brothers Jack Elbert Stack and Walter Eugene Stack. A visitation honoring Agnes's life is scheduled for Sunday Dec 2nd from 6PM - 8PM at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel. A funeral service is scheduled for 10AM Monday, at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel, burial to follow at IOOF Cemetery in Georgetown, TX.
