

Linda Ann (Turner) Green, age 72, of Georgetown, Texas passed away unexpectedly in her sleep at her home on the morning of April 2, 2016. Linda was born February 7, 1944 in Lubbock, Texas. The second youngest of eight children, Linda moved to Seagraves to live with her brother Ray and attend Seagraves High School where she graduated in 1962. Linda married the love of her life, Russell Martin Green, on January 3, 1964. After moving around west and east Texas for Russell’s job, they settled in Georgetown in March 1975 with their three children. Linda worked for sixteen years in the Textbook Division of the Texas Education Agency and retired in 1991. After retirement, Linda enjoyed gardening and spending time with her husband until his death in November 1995. After his death, she devoted herself to her three children, five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren as well as her younger sister, Lana, and older brother, Gerald, whom she cared for in her home from 1999 until his death in 2014. She was much loved by her immediate family and extended family including her siblings, many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews as well as countless friends and neighbors.
Linda is survived by her younger sister, Lana Kay, and her brother-in-law, Bruce Reed; her children: Eric Green, Jaclyn Green Keegan, and Jessica Green Vance; son-in-law, David Vance; grandchildren: Diana Green, Heather Keegan, Casey Ellington, Elijah Vance, and Joshua Vance; great-grandchildren: Keirah Bella Pine and Sammy Waller; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Linda is preceded in death by husband, Russell; her parents, Eva Mae Kirkes and Monta Clyde Turner, her siblings: Mary Martha, Norma Jean, Clyde Solis, Monte Ray, Stanley Eugene, and Gerald Lee.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 beginning at 1:00pm with a Visitation followed by the Service at 2:00pm at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home at 2900 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas. Burial will immediately follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery, 701 Smith Creek Road, Georgetown, Texas. After the burial, all are invite to a reception to honor and remember Linda at her home: 4108 Granada Drive, Georgetown, Texas. Flowers or plants can be sent to Linda’s home or the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Linda’s name to The Caring Place, 2000 Railroad Street, Georgetown, Texas.
