Mark Devin Darling was born, on September 22, 1962, at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He had a devilish gleam in his eyes that foretold of a lifetime of teasing and fun. On January 3, 2015, at the age of 52, he passed away peacefully while sleeping in his recliner in his home in Jarrell, Texas. Mark was a true "Army Brat" and traveled the world with his parents and older brother. When his father was stationed at Fort Hood, he fell in love with Texas and vowed never to leave even if his parents retired elsewhere. He graduated from Copperas Cove High School in Copperas Cove, Texas, in 1980 and attended Central Texas College where he was certified as an Air Conditioning/Heating Technician. After his dad's retirement from military service in 1980, his parents moved the family to Austin, Texas, which was a good fit for everyone even though his brother went to the "other" school. Mark loved Austin and quickly became a "UT" fan and loved to tailgate before the games and that is where he met many other fans who became life-long friends. He later earned a Master's License and for many years owned a Air Conditioning/Heating business which serviced the Central Texas area. The stress of owning a large business affected his health, and he had to seek other opportunities. Survivors include his daughters, Mackenzie and Victoria Darling; granddaughter, Olivia Darling; parents, Betty and Mert Darling; brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Gay Darling; nieces, Kayleigh and Lyndee Darling; and nephew, Trent Darling. Mark was a man wealthy in his friends and never hesitated to lend a hand. His passing will leave a tremendous void in the lives of all those who loved him. The Memorial Service for Mark will be held at 2:00 p.m. on January 10, 2015, at the Worship Place, 811 Sun City Blvd., Georgetown, TX 78633.
