Nancy Dawn York

Nancy was born in Detroit, Michigan on July 14, 1934 to parents Cecil Rush and Laura M. Elgar. Nancy attended Sacred Heart Academy in Detroit, Michigan and at the age of 18 was accepted in the prestigious music school of Juilliard in New York City. Nancy also received a teaching degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. In 1964, while teaching school in Venezuela, Nancy met the love of her life, Raymond York. Nancy and Raymond were married in Florida in 1968. Nancy was a devout Catholic and was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church in Georgetown, Texas.

Nancy is preceded in death by her husband Raymond R. York.

Nancy is survived by her two loving children, Rusty York of Ben Wheeler, Texas and Tamara Lynn York and husband Douglas Williams of Georgetown, Texas as well as her four grandchildren, Allie Westbrook, Chloe York, Jack York and Lucy York.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Helen Catholic Church in Georgetown, Texas. Inurnment will follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Georgetown, Texas.
