Nathan Noel Russell

Nathan Noel Russell of Georgetown, Texas passed away on August 23, 2018 in Georgetown, Kentucky. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2018 from 5pm to 7pm at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am on Friday, August 31, 2018 at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel with Pastor Earnest Jones of Main street Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow to IOOF cemetery in Georgetown, Texas. Nathan was born in Georgetown, Texas to Ralph and Shirley Clegg Russell on October 13, 1974. He went to school at Georgetown High school. He married Dottie Hebert on April 24, 1999 in Natchitoches, Louisiana. Nathan graduated from Northwestern State University with a degree in business and Louisiana Tech University with a Master’s in finance. He worked in the financial sector for the Janus Corporation, Tyco Corporation and was the vice president of operations for Capital One in Shreveport. He opened two businesses in Georgetown, a children’s clothing store called “Charmed Designs” and recently a bar and grill called “The Lumberyard”. Nathan spent much time taking care of his grandmother who recently passed on January 6, 2018 at the age of 99. He was an exceptional trombone player and received many awards in music at Georgetown High school. He received a music scholarship and later an academic scholarship to Northwestern State University in Natchitoches Louisiana. Nathan was big into computer gaming and spent time playing internet games with his son AJ even though they were 1000 miles apart. His most enjoyable times were when his children would come to visit during the summer and holiday. Nathan is preceded in death by his mother and grandparents. Nathan is survived by two children Austin Jacob Russell, age 12, Lakyn Daniel Russell, age 15 and his father Ralph Russell, Jr. Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of your choice in Nathan’s name.
