Norma E. Altieri

Norma Altieri aka mom, aka grandma, aka grammie, passed away on Sunday September 24, 2023. She was 89 years old and just 6 months shy of her 90th birthday. She was feisty, fun loving, fiercely independent, up for going anywhere and doing anything and easy to talk to. She is the best mom and grandmother anyone could ever ask for.

She was born in Manhattan, NY to Virginia Lopez and Felipe Rosado. Her mother raised her and her brother Angelo Rosado. She met Frank Altieri at a wedding, and they later wed on September 26, 1953. They had been married for 61 years.

Norma cherished her children and grandchildren; they were the light of her life. She is survived by her 3 children Frank Altieri Jr, Peter Altieri and his wife Elizabeth, Mary-Virginia Wier and her husband Mike. She was blessed to have 9 grandchildren, Christopher Altieri, Justin Altieri, Trevor Mach, Kaitlin Mach, Jack Wier, Frank Altieri, Michael Altieri, Nicole Drakos and Thomas Altieri. She also has 5 great grandchildren.

She loved to quilt and crochet. She was a seamstress as a hobby and often made her own clothes and clothes for her daughter. She was a member of St. Helens women group and helped them with embroidery projects. A favorite pastime was going out to lunch and shopping with her daughter and granddaughter.

Eight years ago, she was reunited with her stepbrother Edward Rosado and his wife Margie, and they spoke every week from that point forward. They will miss her greatly.

Those that have passed on before her and helped her cross over were her husband Frank Altieri, her mother Virginia Rosado, brother Angelo Rosado and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and pets.

We will all miss you tremendously. May your soul shine brightly, dance the days and nights away and look after us. We love you so much for ever and ever.

A visitation for Norma will be held Thursday, September 28, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, 2900 Williams Drive, Georgetown, TX 78628. A funeral service will occur Friday, September 29, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home.
