We are saddened to announce the passing of Patricia “Pat” Ann Boudreaux on November 17th, 2024, who after a long battle with pancreatic cancer fell into unconsciousness and passed peacefully at 6:31 am the morning of November 17, 2024, at the age of 70.
Pat was the oldest child of Percy Hebert and Lula Ella Castania and was born June 6, 1954, in Raceland, LA.
She married the love of her life, Cully Lee Boudreaux, in Cut Off, LA on July 29th, 1972.
Pat was proud to be called a housewife and mother. She raised her two sons Robert and Christopher (Chris) as a Navy wife bouncing from state to state as the Navy required of Cully. When they moved back to Louisiana she was there for every game, in the band hall sewing uniforms, at the boy scout cookouts, and anywhere she could so she could help her sons thrive. Many are the family stories telling about how both Cully and Pat were sore from sleeping on a cot to be able to help the Drum & Bugle Corp eat as they traveled for the summer, or fishing trips filled with laughter as the boys learned to cast a line, usually into a tree.
As her children grew, Pat discovered a love of all needlecrafts. She was already a talented seamstress, always making clothing for her family, but she soon discovered other handicrafts she adored. An avid quilter, cross stitcher, knitter and hooker, we could always look forward to an amazing hand-made craft we could use all year long. We will always be able to remember her smile as every family member can snuggle under their very own Pat Boudreaux original quilt.
A third love of Pat’s was the many travels that Cully and she embarked upon, be it via land or sea they managed to see many places around the globe. They took many cruises over their lifetime with their favorites being the anniversary cruise to Hawaii and their Mediterranean cruise where she finally got to see the Vatican and explore Greece. The stories of their travels were constant with Pat as they longed to venture and explore as much and as often as they could.
Pat is survived by her son Chris Boudreaux, her 5 grandchildren (Robbie, Jasmine, C.J., Matthew, and Cadence), and her 2 great-grandchildren she was so excited for (Nicholas and Charlotte). She will also be missed by her three sisters, Kristie Billiot, Penny Allemand, and Karen Malcombe.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Cully Boudreaux, and her son Robert.
A graveside service for Pat will be held Friday, December 20, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, 11463 TX-195, Killeen, Texas 76542.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Disabled Veterans or American Diabetes Association.
