Phyllis Jean Benagh

Phyllis Jean Benagh, age 82, of Georgetown, Texas, peacefully passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2011, surrounded by her devoted family. She was born on October 30, 1928 in Wichita, Kansas to parents John Alden Conrad and Esther Margaret (Thimm) Conrad.

Phyllis was a wonderful wife and mother, retiring as Accounting Supervisor from the Texas Department of Health in 1988; and enjoyed her retirement by traveling the world and watching her family grow.

Phyllis is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Joseph Holman Benagh of Georgetown, Texas; daughters, Susan Gail Benagh and Elizabeth Ann Benagh Linton; grandson, Andrew Scott Benagh and wife Kelli; granddaughter, Layla Camille Harris and husband Kory; grandson, Robert Dylan Linton and fiancee Ciera and grandson Anthony Michael Haynes, HT2, United States Navy; great-grandchildren, Alex, Joseph, Grace, Chloe, Claire and Isaac; nephew, Patrick McGinnis; brother, Alan Conrad and wife Bennie; and numerous nieces, nephews, and their children.

She is preceded in death by her brother Richard Conrad and her sister Patricia McGinnis.

A memorial service to celebrate Phyllis’ life will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, May 27, 2011 at Grace Episcopal Church in Georgetown, Texas with Reverend Janice Jones officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made in Phyllis’ honor to: Scott and White Hospice or Grace Episcopal Church.
