

Richard Glenn “Richie” Lane, age 73 passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, in Round Rock, Texas. Richie was born on February 2, 1951, in Lytle, Texas to Virginia Cartwright and Grady Teague.
Richard grew up in San Antonio, Texas and went to Edison High School graduating in 1969. His passion for cars and love for artistic design began there with his classes in auto shop, and he later attended San Antonio Community College where he studied art. Richie gave his life to the Lord in 1980. He attended Trinity Church where he met and married his dear wife Donna the same year. After moving to Austin, Texas in 1982, Richard and Donna bought their first house together in 1983. He was a dedicated provider, working tirelessly, and always thinking of the future for his wife and children. Richie achieved his dream of owning his own business in 1986. He bought an aftermarket auto trim business he renamed Trim Design of Austin, later changed to Auto Trim Customs which he successfully operated for over 35 years. His clients held him in the highest regard, many trusting only him to do the job. Richard was a strong believer in his savior Jesus Christ and always tried leading others to Him. He now resides in Heaven with our Creator. He loved his wife, children and grandchildren with his whole heart. Richie will be greatly missed by many.
Richard is survived by his wife, Donna, his sisters, Mary Lou Davis, Jean Metcalfe (Ron), daughter Jacque, his sons, Michael (Deborah), Allan (Jami), Jamie (Becky), and four grandsons, Gabriel, Joshua, Ehren, and Ian.
A graveside service for Richie will be held Thursday, March 28, 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Holy Cross Cemetery, 17501 Nacogdoches Rd, San Antonio, TX 78266.
