Bob,

It’s been two years since your passing. We moved in across the street from you and Dorothy in 1999.  Wow, we sure were lucky to have had friends and neighbors like you.  Y’all  had become family !!!  You were an amazing person. We had so many conversations about the Military and Postal Service, since we both worked in those places.  And Dorothy was always cooking and making  homemade goods. We miss morning coffee and bagels with you. We think of you both daily when we look at your house. Thank you for blessing us with your memories. Dear Uncle Robbie, The last time I saw you, you lived in Brooklyn and you just got your brand new used Edsel and that was more than 60 years ago.  I sadly lost touch with you and didn't even know where you were.  I always had fond memories of you and thanks to my sister Audrey, we were reunited.  The first time I spoke to you and heard your voice I was transported in time back to my kitchen and listening to my father, Peter and his two brothers Robbie and Harry talking.  The topic did not matter but I was mesmerized listing to what you three had to say, the great knowledge they had and the gentleness   and kindness of the three of them.  I am sorry you are gone Uncle Robbie I know you are with your brothers.  My family and myself will miss you dearly, and I will always have wonderful thoughts of you and memories of our conversations together...Love Edward and family

To a sweet, caring, thoughtful man. I will always remember when you bought me a teddy bear. You told me you saw it in a window and you thought of me. To this day, I still have that teddy bear. And I will pass it to my daughter because it means so much to me. I will always remember your upbeat personality. It is a sad time for us but we all know you are at peace. You will never be forgotten.

Uncle Bob , Your passing is a great loss to our family and friends. Your wit and caring personality will always be remembered.  You were always thought of fondly especially by my mother and aunt.  You will always continue to be a part of our hearts and thoughts.  Thank you for being such a great and kind man to me and our family

To some you were Uncle Bob. But, we called you Uncle Robbie because Grandma called her sons Harry, Petey and Robbie. Thank you for all the wonderful memories I have of you. You were a kind, gentle man who always cared about others.You were a wonderful story teller and had a great sense of humor. You were part of the Greatest Generation that ever lived and will always be remembered and honored. I will miss the sound of your voice and wonderful laughter. Dear Uncle Robbie My heart is broken. But it's also filled with wonderful, loving memories of you. Your loving compassion, and understanding was a treasure. Your sharp Irish wit and humor always lifted my spirit. Loved your stories and all your songs. I know you're in a better place now with so many people who loved you. Will miss you terribly. Bob, it was an honor to get to know you. I will always remember the songs you would sing. The sayings you remembered. The love of life you always had.
