Bob came to Texas in September of 1949 to work for Champion Paper in Pasadena, Texas where he worked for 37 years and retired in 1986 at the age of 56. Bob temporarily left Champion and served in the U.S. Navy from 1951-1955 aboard the U.S.S. Point Cruz.
He was a Master Mason for 61 years. In 1969 he became a registered Tree Farmer for land farmed in Carthage, Texas. Bob and his wife moved to Georgetown, Texas 10 years ago where they joined First Baptist Church of Georgetown, Texas.
Bob is survived by his wife of 57 years, Flo Snyder; son, Robert Lynn Snyder; daughter, Margaret Ann Lonquist and her husband Richard; granddaughters, Paige and Alexis Lonquist; and elder sister Betty Ann Snyder.
Bob was a tender-hearted man of Principle and Character - God First, Family Second and Self Last. His wife and children never had to wonder where their father was, who he was with, when would he be home and would they have food, clothing or shelter. Never did his family feel they were not loved and knew in their hearts they would always be safe or have any fear that they would not always be a family.
We Love You Dad!
