

Jim was employed as a Computer Programmer for the Internal Revenue Service and retired in 1993 after 34 years of service. He proudly served in the Marines for two years, and enjoyed playing golf. His love for people was shown by generosity, kindness and compassion, and everyone was greeted with a warm smile. Jim also loved animals and demonstrated that love by volunteering at the Austin Humane Society. The love for his Lord and Savior was evident in his day to day life. He attended The Worship Place in Sun City.
Jim was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He is survived by his wife, Carole Bentley Utterberg; daughters, Kay Utterberg of Hutto, Texas, Kimberly Harden of Tyler, Texas, and Annsley Branson of Mesa, Arizona; a son, Kenneth Branson of Olive Branch, Mississippi; and grandsons, Jacob, Tyler and Dustin. He will be missed by everyone who him throughout his life.
A visitation will be held from three o'clock to five o'clock in the afternoonon the 29th of June 2013 at The Worship Place in Sun City in Georgetown, Texas.
In lieu of flowers and other customary remembrances, the family has requested that donations be made to the Austin Humane Society.
