Ronald Henry Tigue

Ron, of Georgetown (Sun City), TX age 82 passed away peacefully on September 7, 2015 from Mesothelioma in the comfort of his home. Ron was born and raised in Northeast Minneapolis, the son of Thomas (Hank) and Mary Tigue. He was married to his loving wife Barbara for 62 years.

After graduating from High School, Ron served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Newport News. He later worked at Northern State Power for 32 years. Ron loved to spend his vacations camping. He also enjoyed boating, campfires and being on the lake. He loved his dog Shannon and enjoyed spending time with all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ron was an avid golfer and will be missed by his many golfing friends in Sun City, TX.

He is survived by his wife Barbara of 62 years, four sons Ronald J. (Gail) of Round Rock, TX, Rick (Patti) of Cushing, MN, Greg of Mounds View, MN and Tom of Colorado Springs, CO. Ron is also survived by eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren, a sister Joyce (Mel) of Centerville, MN, sister-in-law Janet (Bill) Scott of Naples, FL, sister-in-law Jennifer (Allen) Lipke of Hibbing, MN as well as many nieces and nephews.

Services will be Monday, September 14, 2015 in the chapel of Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, TX with visitation beginning at nine o’clock am, followed by funeral services at eleven o’clock am. Burial will be at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas at two o’clock pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to American Cancer Society or the donor of your choice.
