

Rosita was an elementary school teacher in Humacao and Sabana Grande, Puerto Rico for twenty eight years. She was deeply loved by her community in Sabana Grande and by all of her students and their families. She graduated with honors from the University of Puerto Rico at Rio Piedras with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education in 1969 and a Masters Degree in Elementary Education in 1974. She received many certificates of merit from the Department of Education in Puerto Rico. She has been greatly missed in the education community since her retirement in 1998. She loved to draw, practice photography and be surrounded by nature.
Rosita is survived by her younger sister Aida Roman Ramirez, her nieces Liliana, Michele and Rosadel, and her great nephews and niece Andrew, Xavier, and Isabella. They surrounded her with love in the last years of her life in Austin, TX. She is also survived by her sister Maria Acevedo Roman and her three children and her brother Rodolfo Roman and his two children.
There will be a visitation Monday, March 18, 2024 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm with a Rosary at 6:00 pm. Rosita will then be transported to her beloved island of Puerto Rico for burial with her family.
