Funeral services for Mrs. Sally Brumbaugh Ridgway, 91, of Georgetown, Texas, (previously of Dayton, OH and Savannah, GA) will be held at 2:00 p.m on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at San Gabriel Presbyterian Church of Georgetown with the Rev. Dr. Bill Pederson officiating.
Sally passed away Saturday, January 12, 2019. The eldest of three children, Sally was born on December 16, 1927 to Nathan Kingsbury Brumbaugh and Caroline Steen in Ann Arbor, MI. She grew up in Dayton, OH where her family was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. A 1946 graduate of Fairview High School, Sally attended Miami University where she was a member of the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority, and graduated with an interior design degree from the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts.
Sally was a devoted wife of 65 years to the late Charles W. (Jack) Ridgway, Jr. and beloved mother of four daughters. She enjoyed playing golf, achieving three hole-in-ones, as well as playing games especially bridge and mahjong. An avid reader, she volunteered her time as a librarian and to TWIG, an auxiliary of Dayton Children's Hospital.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack in 2015, and her brother, Robert Brumbaugh of Dayton, OH. She is survived by her sister, Nancy Giggey of Del Ray Beach, FL; daughters and sons-in-law, Gretchen and Wes Callender of Cary, NC, Pamela and the late Kelley Kirkpatrick of Dallas, TX, Stephanie and Timothy Mickel, MD of Monroe, LA and Susan and Dave Greene of Wausau,WI; eleven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
