Shawn Ross

Shawn was born to LeAnn and Grant Ross on January 30, 1962, at Luke Air Force Base in Glendale AZ. Shawn is survived by his parents, Grant and LeAnn, his sister, Lisa Ross Fenn (Wesley), and his stepsons, Chad Scott (Angie), Tim Scott (Virginia), Steven Scott (Natalie) along with numerous cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his former wife but forever friend, Deborah S. Ross.

Home to Shawn was Lake Travis, near Austin, Texas. His happy place was spending time at the lake with his two dogs, Sarah and Pepper. He was known for his sense of humor. It was impossible not to laugh or just shake your head when he was on a roll. Shawn’s heart was too big for him. He was generous to those in need and to his friends and family.

Careers held by Shawn were always non-traditional. He completed massage therapy training and went on to open his own successful business, Lakeline Massage Associates, until road construction derailed it. He was a skydiving enthusiast and worked a videographer, he was conferred a Merchant Marine License by the U.S. Coast Guard; to captain motor vessels up to 100 gross tons; he used that license to drive large houseboats on Lake Travis. Shawn also earned a commercial truck driving license and drove 18 wheelers.

He was able to travel the world throughout his father’s military career in the USAF. During those years, Shawn and Lisa explored freely together and with their adventurous parents. Shawn’s daredevil personality made those years even more exciting and memorable.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on February 1, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Cook Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown Texas. Family and friends are welcome to share a thought or a memory. A light lunch will be served afterwards.
