Thomas Eugene Barker, Jr. age 79, passed away February 1, 2009. He was born July 24, 1929 to Thomas E. Barker and Ivasoe (Miner) Barker in Jonesboro, Louisiana. Thomas is survived by a step-daughter; Charlotte “Wootsie” Richards and her husband Ed of Georgetown, grandsons; Kalem Richards and his wife Denise, Lee Richards and his wife Brenda, and Josh Richards and his wife Jaquetta. Also surviving Thomas are five great grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and a sister Iva Lee Walker of Dickinson, TX. He is preceded in death by his wife Nina Mae Barker 1997, and a Very Special Aunt Lucille. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the VFW in Georgetown, Texas.
