Upon his graduation, Troy embarked on a lifetime of adventures including a stint in the US Navy, a career in construction, and owner of a liquor store and gas station.
Upon his retirement, he devoted his life to public service and volunteerism. Troy was a proud member and former President of the Liberty Hill Chamber of Commerce, VFW Post 8200, and various City committees, including the Parks & Recreation Board where he was still serving at the time of his death.
He served for many years as an Election Judge in Williamson County where he presided over national and state elections. A proud “Yellow Dog Democrat,” Troy served the people of Liberty Hill as a delegate for state and county conventions.
Liberty Hill was his hometown, the place that held his heart. He served for many years as the head of the town’s Information Center. He helped plan “every function at the Junction,” as he liked to say, including the Liberty Hill BBQ Cookoff, countless parades and benefits, groundbreaking ceremonies and more.
