Virginia Elizabeth Williams

Virginia Elizabeth Williams, age 98, of Georgetown, Texas, passed away Monday, July 25, 2011. She was born on June 30, 1913 to parents Samuel and Mary Elizabeth Meharg, in Coryell County, Texas. Virginia taught school at Whitehall and at Osage, Texas. Upon arriving in Georgetown, she became The Primary School secretary for many years which is now Annie Purl.

She is preceded in death by her husband Everette Williams.

Virginia is survived by her children, Charles Williams of Portland, Texas, Don Williams of Sherman, Texas and Jenny Williams Sloan of Georgetown, Texas; and 8 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive guests for a time of visitation from 6:00- 8:00 P.M. Thursday, July 28, 2011 at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, July 29, 2011 in the chapel of Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Presbyterian Cemetery in Georgetown.

Serving as pallbearers will be Trey Bratton, Stanford Armstrong, Manny Rodriguez, Dalton Rodriguez, Ken Williams, Sean Auerbach, Bobby Curry, Clarence McCann, Michael Wisian, and Sammy Reasor. Serving as Honorary pallbearers will be Collin Hain, Mason Hain, Brock Rodriguez, Justin Wisian, Carter Wisian, Knox Auerbach, Cade Auerbach, and Campbell Auerbach.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Everette Williams Elementary School Library, 507 E. University, Georgetown, Texas 78626.
