

Wynona Gault Lawler, known to all as Doodie, passed peacefully into Heaven on October 20, 2022, following a lengthy battle with dementia. Doodie was the youngest of four siblings born to N.L and Pauline Gault in Austin, Texas, and spent her adult life married to the love of her life, Jack Lawler, with whom she raised four children. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, and servant to Christ her Savior and loved spending Sunday afternoons with her siblings and their families at their childhood home on Avenue B.
She is preceded in death by her parents, N.L and Pauline Gault, brother Neal Gault, sister Imogene Robinson and daughter Nancy Lawler Minton.
She is survived by her husband of 73 years Jack; her sister Maxine Krizov of Austin; children Jeff Lawler (Pat), Marsha Goff (David) and Patti June Lawler, all of Austin, grandchildren Jace Lawler (Melissa) of Cypress, Texas, Alyssa Smith (Scott) of Dallas, Texas, Savannah Windham (Mims) of Houston, Kevin Goff of Lacey, Washington, Kristi Curlee (Dennis) of Austin, Jennifer Goff of Austin, Jared Minton, Vanessa Minton, and Garrett Minton, all of Leander and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will hold a private graveside ceremony followed by a Celebration of Life service in honor of Doodie at Austin Baptist Church on Tuesday October 25 at 1:00 p.m. followed by visitation reception at the church.
The family wishes to express its sincere thanks and gratitude to the treasured members of Jack and Doodie’s Sunday School class at Austin Baptist Church and their countless life-long friends through which a lifetime of memories were made.
