Chester Wayne Smith, 65, a resident of Georgiana, Al passed away on Friday, April 22, 2016. A Celebration of Life will be Sunday, April 24, 2016 at 4 p.m. at Love's Way Methodist Church, Georgiana, Al with Rev. Mike Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in the Love's Way Cemetery with Johnson Funeral Home, Georgiana, Al directing arrangements. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be at Love's Way Methodist Church, Saturday, April 23, 2016 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his Parents: Chester & Bertie L. Smith. Survivors Include: Wife: Rebecca Smith, Georgiana, Al; Son: Jody (Kelsey) Smith, Georgiana, Al; Sisters: Bonnie (Bobby) Stokes, Carolyn (Dale) Wasden, both of Georgiana, Al; Grandchildren: Susie Smith, Sarah Smith, and Landry Collins; and a number of Nieces and Nephews. Mr. Smith was a former Fire Chief of the Shackleville Fire Department, and he was also with the Butler County Highway Department. Mr. Smith also loved to go boating & fishing, and traveling.
