

Jerre Paul Johnson, Sr., 73, a resident of Industry, Al, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2015 at Baptist South Hospital, Montgomery, Al. Jerre was born April 25, 1942, in Troy, Al to Jeane Windham Johnson and William Gerald Johnson. He was a member of the 1960 graduation class of R.E. Lee High School in Montgomery, and attended the University of Alabama before starting his family. Jerre pursued a career in sales, which suited his temperament and personality. He could talk to anyone, and often did. He loved his role as a financial advisor, serving clients in many states. He is survived by his wife, Vicki Harwell Johnson; three children and their spouses, J. Paul Johnson, Jr. and Annabelle of Silver Springs, MD, Juliet Johnson Burton and Mike of Friendswood, TX, and Rodney G. Johnson and Brook of Tampa, Fl., as well as nine grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Luann Johnson Jackson and her husband, Andy, of Chapman, Al, his nephew, Grant Deal of Montgomery, Al, and his family by marriage who all loved him dearly. We will celebrate Jerre's life during a memorial service to be held at Johnson Funeral Home in Georgiana, Al, Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home one hour prior to services.
