Clara Ann Linenbrink

Clara attended a one-room country school for her elementary education and later graduated from St. Agnes Academy in Alliance, Nebraska. She went on to attend St. Mary’s College in Leavenworth, Kansas.

Clara spent her entire professional career with AT&T, retiring in 1994 after 33 years of dedicated service in several capacities with what was then known as US West. Following her retirement, she spent many years volunteering and later working for Catholic Charities in Omaha, Nebraska, continuing her lifelong commitment to helping others.

In 2016, Clara moved to Gering, Nebraska, to be near four of her sisters. She was active in her parish, Christ the King Catholic Church, where she was a faithful Catholic and a tireless volunteer. She was also an active member of her community at Cottages of Heritage Estates, where she formed many lasting friendships.

Clara passed away on March 12, 2026, at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, due to complications from pneumonia.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers John, Vince, Bill, Nick, and James; and her sisters Mary Snyder, Sr. Cecilia Linenbrink, Jo Marshall, Kate Linenbrink and Henrietta Linenbrink. She is survived by her sisters Sr. Joan Linenbrink, Alliance, NE and Verna Stasch, Westminster, CO, along with several nieces and nephews.

Services for Clara will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church, 1345 18th Street, Gering, NE on March 19th, 2026. Visitation will be from 9am to 10am, Rosary 10am to 10:30am and funeral Mass at 10:30am. Lunch will follow at 11:30 at the church. Clara’s memorial is Christ the King Catholic Church, P.O. Box 33, Gering, NE.
