

It is with the utmost sadness that we regret to announce the passing of our dear father, brother, uncle, son, grandfather, great grandfather and dear friend, Bruce Lambert on Saturday, May 28,2011.
Born in Glace Bay, Bruce was the son of the late George Lambert and Clare (Clark) Lambert. Bruce was raised by his eldest brother, Bill and Winnie (Parsons). He was predeceased by several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
Left to mourn is his loving wife of 54 years, Anne Marie (MacNeil), daughter, Carmen, son, Paul Wm. (Patricia), grandchildren; Tyler Wm., Stephanie and Elizabeth and great grandchildren; Vincent, Landon, Bailey and Taylen and sisters; Edith Penny and Joyce Verbiski.
Bruce was a coal miner for 35 years, working in several mines during his career. In his younger days he was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was also a member of the Birch Grove Volunteer Fire Department for 35 years. He enjoyed spending time with his friends on Saturday afternoons. Bruce was a loving friend, husband, father, uncle, grandfather and great grandfather.
He was always loved and always will be.
Visitation for Bruce Lambert will be held at Patten Funeral Home, 71 Union Street, Glace Bay on Tuesday May,31 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday June 1,2011 at 10:00 am in Knox United Church with Rev. John Findlayson officiating. Interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
There will be a reception after the funeral at the Birch Grove Fire Hall. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. On line condolences may be left for the family at: www.pattenfuneral.com
