Carol Doreen Murrant

Mrs. Carol Doreen Murrant- 75, of Port Morien passed away Saturday, August 11, 2012 at the Glace Bay General Hospital. Born in Glace Bay she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Erva (Bond) Mugford. She was a past member of the Pentecostal church in Glace Bay, she was an excellent cook and loved to bake for her family with whom she deeply loved especially her grandchildren. She was so proud of their accomplishments that they achieved in their lives. Carol enjoyed her visits with her friends and going for car drives in the country. She is survived by her husband Stanley; Her son Allan (Cathy) of Sand Lake Rd., daughter Sharon Cameron (Donald) of Mabou; grandchildren; Kevin, Emily, Erin Murrant and Allan, Stuart Cameron; sisters Ruby Nicholson of Glace Bay and Lillian Parsons of Ontario, several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brother-in-laws Colin Nickerson and Clyde Parsons. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm with a funeral service to follow on Wednesday at 2:00 pm from the Patten Funeral Home, 71 Union St, Glace Bay with Rev. Ron Coole officiating. Interment to follow in the Black Brook Cemetery, Port Morien.
