

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Eugene Snow in the arms of his family at Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital in Musquodoboit Harbour. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle. He was born in Victoria, NFLD on July 1, 1924 and was the son of Jen and Job Snow. Da was well known as the “best carpenter in Glace Bay”. He was a member and actually built the Pentecostal Tabernacle in Glace Bay. Eugene was a hard working good kind gentle man of few words. He is survived by the love of his life, Sadie (Lambert), and daughters Judy MacDonald, Diane Rogers (Bruce), Carol Snow (Rick), Debbie Blunden, and sons Eugene (Wanda Clements) and Dave (Karen Andrews). He is predeceased by daughter, Janet Lee (Robin) Bendell, brother Bill, sister Hazel Evely, brothers-in-law Harold Evely, Bob Francis, Lionel Priddle and Jim Lambert. He will be missed dearly by brother Bob (Jackie), sisters Nevie Priddle , Dot Francis and Pat Morris. Twelve grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, nieces and nephews loved Poppy and his playful personality, always planning a little joke.
Visitation for Eugene will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 at Pattens Funeral Home, Union Street, Glace Bay. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, May 30, 2:00pm at Bethel Family Church, Reserve Street, Glace Bay. Donations in lieu of flowers to the Glace Bay Bethel Family Church.
