Born in Victoria Village NFL, he was the son of the late Malcolm and Lillian Clarke.
George worked for DEVCO for 34 years as a Coal Miner. One of his greatest joys over the last few years was going for walks everyday with cherished dog Becky.
George is survived by his wife of 59 years Marie (Warren); sons George (Juanita) and Rick (Lisa); grandchildren Thea (Dan), Rachel, Allison, Mason, Tristen, Vanessa and Chuck; sisters Louise, Brenda and Marjorie; brother Jim and his dog Becky who has been at his side every day.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by daughter Kimberley; son Rodney; sister Ethel; brothers Robert, Malcolm, Ralph and Dave.
In following George’s wishes cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Patten Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Monday November 25,2019 at 2pm in St. Mary’s Anglican church Glace Bay.
