We regret to announce the passing of Margaret MacAulay, R.N. at Harbourstone Enchanced Care on Wednesday October 30, 2013.

Born in Glace Bay she was the daughter of Ewen and Agnes (Clarke ) MacAulay. She was a graduate of Sydney City Hospital School of Nursing. She worked for a short time in Windsor Ontario. Before returning to Glace Bay to take up a position of Head Nurse of the Medical Floor at the Glace Bay Hospital until her retirement in 1989.Margaret was a member of the Jubilee Rebekah Lodge. She was also a member of the ladies Auxiliary of the Glace Bay Hospital also a volunteered for the Meals on Wheels. Margaret is survived by her sister Katherine , special niece Nancy and Luanne also nephews David and Kirk.

She predeceased by parents brothers Donald and Ewen ‘Sonny ‘ and sister Georgina Travers.

Visitation for Margaret MacAulay will be held at Patten Funeral Home 71 Union Street Glace Bay today Friday November 1, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9. Funeral services will be held in Knox United Church, Saturday November 2, 2013 at 11 am with Rev. John Finlayson officiating . Burial will be in Lock End Cemetery at later date.
