It is with sadness of heart that we announce that our beloved mother, sister and friend Sadie Belle Trenchard (nee Mugford) passed away peacefully in her residence at Taigh Na Mara, Glace Bay on June 9, 2022 in her 100th year.
Born to Nathaniel and Emma Jane (Rumbolt) Mugford on March 10, 1923 she was 1 of a family of 12 children. She learned early on the value of family, a lesson she never forgot. Her family was always the most important thing to her and he kindness and gentleness enriched the lives of those around her greatly. She was also a model of strength and courage winning her fight with cancer not once but twice as well as her courage to carry on after the loss of her beloved Ralph.
Besides her parents and her husband Ralph, she was also predeceased by her siblings Jim, Norman, Fred, Don, Nelle MacLean, Cyrus, Marion Cameron, Roy and Rita Snow. Remaining to miss her and mourn her passing are her children Sheila Denison and Jane (David) Heath as well as her sisters June Byrne and Anne Mitchell and sister-in-law Rose Mugford.
A visitation will be held at Patten Funeral Home, 71 Union St., Glace Bay from 2-4 & 7-9 on Wednesday, June 15 with a funeral service being held on Thursday, June 16 at 1:00pm also at Patten Funeral Home with Lt John Butler officiating.
