William Clarence Matheson

Born I Donkin on May 16, 1933, he was the son of the late William and Georgina (Wadden) Matheson.

William is survived by his daughter Joan Marie Jessome Ft. McMurray, Granddaughters Ann Marie (Sean) MacDonald Sydney River, Kendra Peach Glace Bay, Edith Peach St. Albert, Katie Matheson Brampton On, grandsons Chis and Tyler Jessome Ft. McMurray, Ronnie Matheson Brampton On. Great Grandchildren, Mark, Nikki, Victoria, Emma, Zachary, David, Leeland and Sadie. Along with Daughter in law Debbie Matheson.

William was predeceased by his wife Edie (Brown) Matheson, daughter Karen (Matheson) Peach and sons Clarence Matheson and Ronald Matheson in infancy, brothers Colin and Hughie Matheson.

In following his wishes cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Patten Funeral Home, service will be held at a later date.

You held my hand when I was small

You caught me when I fell

You are the hero of my childhood

And my later years as well

You were really one in a million,

All who knew you would agree.

You simply were the best.

So, Granddad, I will say Goodbye.

I love and miss you with all my heart

But as long as I have my loving memories,

We will never be too far apart.
