Albert Patterson Ragan Jr.

Albert Patterson “Pat” Ragan Jr. age 70, passed away unexpectedly on February 17th, 2022. Pat was born on October 9th, 1951 in Kansas City, MO to Betty Lou Smith and Albert Patterson Ragan Sr. He graduated from North Kansas City High School in 1969. Pat began his career at Corn Products shoveling sugar, and eventually was promoted to a welder. He continued his career there for 17 years. He married Sandra Thomas in 1970, and together they had three children. In 1986, he joined his father as a partner at The Depot Saloon which he continued to operate until the time of his passing. He was remarried to Cheryl Elaine Suber in 1991. Pat was a generous, witty, and one of a kind individual who loved traveling to Mexico. He was an avid golfer and was passionate about his cars and trucks, especially his hot rods.

Pat is preceded in death by his mother and father; his brothers, Danny and Tom; his daughter, Valerie; and several aunts, uncles, and good friends made along the way.

Pat is survived by his wife, Cheryl; his brother, Mike; his children, John and Adri; his grandchildren, Scott, Sarah, Ashley, Ally, Julianna, Jameson, and David; his great-grandchildren Marilyn, Lydia, London, and Isabella; his stepchildren Kelli, Amy, and James; his numerous nieces and nephews; his second families in Mexico, the Datica families, the Brown family, and the Mena Family; and SO many lifelong friends.

A Celebration of Life for Pat will be held Sunday, March 6 at 1:00 pm at The Depot Saloon 2702 N Bell St, Avondale, MO 64117 (816) 452-2100
