Tony was special....musically, humorously, affectionately, and caring.  He and VIrginia were always a part of my musical life...and I will always hold them dearly in my heart. Durrett stories,current players, Jardines, summer concerts in NKC, meeting him and Virginia for the first time at Antoine's, teasing Ginney, and learning to play the soprano sax again  -- just some of the things that were part of our times and music.  They brought us joy and happiness.  I will miss Tony, as will many people whose lives he touched.  May he rest in peace and happiness.  Pat Wilson

Although I did not know Tony personally.  I have fond memories of him and Antoine's.  I worked for ERA Real Estate as their meeting planner and we would bring our new brokers to KC for orientation meetings.  While giving them a tour of the city, we would take them to Antoine's.  They thoroughly enjoyed the fun atmosphere and great shrimp.  Very often Tony would stop by the tables to visit and bring his delicious 'watermelon' desserts.  My groups loved it!  I was sorry to see the place go away as it was one of my all-time favorite places in KC!  My condolences to the family and friends of this lovely gentleman.

I knew Tony from NE HIgh School and Antoines.

He always lit up when we met. I know many who will miss him, alive and deceased.

So many good memories of Tony that start with N.E.High School. The music, swing band days as Tony loved jazz.  Also the good food and good fun in the restaurant days.  The fond memories with Tony's personality will always be with us.  Jim and Peggy Izzard

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that I was once a babysitter for Cathy and Michael. In the 1950s I lived on Riggs Road in Mission, KS and often babysat. I remember the plastic-covered living room furniture during the hot summer with no air conditioning. We moved from there in 1960. My best friend (and later sister-in-law) Nancy Fulton lived across the street and also babysat.

So many wonderful memories of dinner at Antoines on the Boulevard years ago.  Fun times with family and friends.  Thank you Tony and Virginia.  Some of the best of times.  God Bless..
