

He graduated from North Kansas City High School in 1950.
Survivors include three daughters: Sandra Collinson and husband, Dan, Kathleen Boul and husband, David, and Kimberly Harrison and husband, Mark; six grandchildren, Michael Collinson, Kristin Jobgen, Megan Cunningham, Ashley Boul, Tyler Harrison and Morgan Harrison; and fifteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores W. Kemble in 2014.
Art began his federal career as a cartographer in 1951 and married his beloved wife Dolores later that year in November. He enlisted and served in the US Air Force from 1952 to 1956, including a year in Korea. After serving his country, he returned to the Kansas City Field Office where he resumed his career. Art and Dolores settled in Independence, Missouri where they raised their growing family.
In 1984, Art was re-assigned to the Mapping and Charting Department in St. Louis and was stationed in St. Petersburg, Florida as a technical representative to a contractor. He retired in 1987 after more than 35 years of federal service. He subsequently moved to Lee’s Summit in 2005 to be closer to his family.
He was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed attending high school athletic events and watching his three daughters at their various high school functions. They were active members of First Presbyterian Church in Independence, with Art serving as an elder from 1964 until moving to Florida in 1984.
