
Bonnie Marie Walden Mack, 93, passed away Saturday October 3, 2015 at a local hospital of a chronic illness. She was born in Emmett, Arkansas on August 17, 1922. She grew up mainly in Arden, Arkansas during the great depression and suffered numerous hardships as most did. She came to Kansas City in 1941 and worked for the Montgomery Ward main store on Belmont and St. John Street as a Gold Stamper and in the parts department. She also worked for Jules Borel Co as a jeweler and watch repair. She became a nurse in 1973 and worked as a LPN and RN until she retired in 1994. She was a contestant on the Lucky Strike TV show and won several pieces of furniture sometime in the 1950’s when the show was in Kansas City. Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur A. Mack, Jr. Survivors include her son, Arthur L. Mack of the home; her sister, Juanita R. Preuitt of Lexington, Kentucky; 2 grandchildren, Arthur O. and William R. (Danielle) Mack both of Kansas City, Missouri; 2 great grandchildren, Phillip O. and Alexander K. Mack of Kansas City, Missouri. Funeral services are set for 12 PM Saturday October 10, 2015 at White Chapel Funeral Home with burial to follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10-12 PM at the funeral home. She will be sorely missed, and she loved her family and was greatly loved.
