Charles "Charlie" A. Rock Jr.

Charlie was born on August 25, 1947, in Grandview, Missouri and would graduate from Grandview

High School with the class of 1965. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1966 and would

retire in 1993, after a very accomplished career as a Chief Master Sergeant. Charlie was very

decorated and received many accolades while in the service.

Charles also worked and then later retired in 2007 from Kansas City Life Insurance, which is where

he met the love of his life, Vickie who he would marry on September 19, 1990.

His children remember him as a kind, gentle, patient, and driven father who encouraged them to

pursue their goals. Charlie was a talented R/C pilot and often found at Smithville Lake flying his

planes. He was a member of the Dam Busters and the Sun Chasers R/C Clubs.

He is preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; and mother and father-in-law.

Charlie is survived by his wife, Vickie of the home; his sons, Bryan (Mandy) Rock, Jacob Rock, and

Andrew (Dawn) Rock; his daughter, Amanda (Steven) Jones; and 9 grandchildren.

Military Honors will be prior to the visitation on Thursday September 19, 2024, at 6 PM followed by

the visitation until 8 PM at White Chapel Funeral Home. Please come to pay respects with the family
