

Chuck attended Ottawa High School graduating in 1956, He was a dispatcher for Consolidated Freightways Trucking for 37 years until his retirement and then transported vehicles for Budget Rental Car for a short time. During those years Chuck enjoyed fishing, camping, tinkering on cars, watching westerns, playing solitaire on the computer, being a Boy Scout leader and Tribesman with the Tribe of Mic O Say, as well as “Urban Farming”.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years Louann (Lowrance), sister Annabel Burgess, brother Leonard Hoopes, daughter Valerie (John) Healy, son Ronald Hoopes, and daughter Vicki Lindsay, Six grandchildren Krystol Lindsay, Erica (Bobby) Berry, Lacy Lindsay, Tiffany Lindsay, Cassie Healy, and Jessica Tracy. Six great grandchildren Savannah Lindsay, Halee Berry, Gracie Lindsay, Hayden Berry, Ava Davis, and Brett Breitling
He was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Ruth Hoopes, brother Wayne Hoopes and sister Allene Hendrix
