Born on December 31, 1952, in Kansas City, Chuck lived a life defined by perseverance, headstrong spirit, and a quick wit that brought laughter and joy to those around him. An entrepreneur at heart, he established and operated his own successful construction company, earning respect for his integrity, determination, and craftsmanship – a legacy that brought him both pride and fulfillment.
Chuck faced significant health challenges throughout his life with extraordinary courage. He underwent multiple heart surgeries, including a heart transplant in 2018, yet continued to live each day with gratitude and resilience, cherishing every moment with those he loved most.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Haskell and Freda Polley, and his sister, Patricia Edwards. He is survived by his beloved wife, Roberta; his sister, Donna Wilson; and his children Kenzie Mundell (Jacob), Elizabeth Polley, and Jason Bedell (Valerie).
Chuck will be remembered for his warm smile, generous heart, and unwavering strength. He loved sharing stories, spending time outdoors, being near the water, and finding joy in the simple moments of life. His legacy lives on through the love he gave, the lessons he taught, and the many lives he touched.
Though his family grieves his passing, they find comfort in knowing that Chuck is now at peace in the presence of his Savior. The family extends heartfelt thanks to all who have shared prayers, memories, and support during this time of loss and remembrance.
A private family gathering will be held at a later date to celebrate Chuck’s life.
