He graduated from Belton High School in 2004, then he enlisted in the Marines. During his service, Clayton spent time in Iraq and Afghanistan. At the end of his service, he retired as a staff sergeant, and remained dedicated to his country. He then began a second career as an IT Specialist, ultimately working for Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner Law Firm.
He married Anne in 2015, and they began growing their family. A dedicated father to his four children, he enjoyed coaching baseball and basketball. He was an avid fan of the Kansas City Royals, Cincinnati Reds, and Kansas City Chiefs, and instilled his love for sports into his children.
He is survived by his wife, Anne; his son, Carson (age 14); his son Cruz (age 7); his daughter, Callaway (age 6); his daughter Chloe (age 4); his father, Roy Zupon; his step-mother, Shelley; his brothers, Mike and Zachary; his mother-in-law, Linda Reardon; his father-in-law, James Reardon; and various cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A visitation for Clayton will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025 from 9 to 11 AM at White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO 64119. Clayton will be laid to rest at Leavenworth National Cemetery at a later date.
