
Craig was born November 11, 1949 in Smithville and graduated from North Kansas City High School. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
Craig worked for Sprint as a fleet executive, retiring after 31 years of service.
He had a passion for cars. He built hot rods in his garage. One of them had been featured in a hot rod magazine. At the time of his passing, he and his son were working on a 1983 Chevy pick-up. His favorite car was his yellow 1929 Ford that he rebuilt. Another favorite was his 1949 Studebaker.
He loved football. Craig had a dedicated KC Chiefs room in his home, filled with Chiefs memorabilia and fan favorites. He was an avid KC Chiefs fan and loved watching them play.
Craig truly enjoyed spending time with friends and family. He had a unique sense of humor and was very witty.
Craig was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Nadine and his daughter, Autumn. He is survived by his wife, Betty Jean "Jeanie;" his son, Roman (Lee Ann) Powers; a step-son, Jay Juenger; two granddaughters, Alyssa and Christina; two brothers, Greg Powers and Stan Powers; and a sister, Regina Shirey.
