It is with the greatest sorrow and deepest grief that we share the loss of Danica Joann O’Dell, our beautiful daughter, loving mother, sister, niece, cousin, and treasured friend who passed unexpectedly on May 22, 2015, at the tender age of 25 in a tragic automobile accident. Danica is survived by her loving parents, David O’Dell and Paula Marshall; her beloved son, Almedin Kulovich; her devoted brother, David O’Dell Jr., as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends and loved ones who share in the pain of her sudden passing. Danica came into this world to bless us on November 20, 1989, at 10:01pm. She was a lifetime resident of the Kansas City Northland area, graduating from Winnetonka High School in 2008, excelling in poetry writing and later on enjoying her dream of modeling. On October 15, 2012, her handsome son, Almedin, was born, and from that day forward became the joy and purpose of her life. Danica was a bright and beautiful spirit who touched the lives of all who knew her in her brilliant, yet painfully short life. She had a unique and special way about her, being blessed with an amazing sense of humor and a zest and zeal for life, fun and adventure - sometimes mixed with a bit of playful mischief, but always making sure that those she cared about knew how much they meant to her. She was an amazingly thoughtful young lady and always took the time to make sure you knew how special you were to her in the many ways she shared the beauty of her soul. Danica loved animals of all kinds, from iguanas to bunnies to puppy dogs, she seemed to love them all. She absolutely adored her Yorkshire terrier, Zoii, and her two guinea pigs, Cinnamon and Baby, and loved them all immensely, taking impeccable care of them and always making sure they had the very best of everything. Danica was very much a music lover, enjoyed dancing and spending time out with her friends in her free time. At home, she was happiest spending time watching movies while cuddling with her son and her guinea pigs. Danica most especially loved Florida, being naturally drawn to the warmer weather and unlimited beauty of the tropics. She enjoyed the experience of a one-on-one interaction with a dolphin during her most recent visit. Her positively radiant smile in the photos from that day show what a cherished, precious, and special occasion it was for her that I know she treasured dearly. The world lost an angel when Danica left us, and Heaven is that much more beautiful now that she has arrived. Danica leaves behind a legion of family and friends who love her and will cherish her memory forever, but most importantly, her legacy will continue in the beautiful child she gifted to us all, her son, Almedin. We thank you for the incredible outpouring of love and support that our family has been blessed with since her untimely and devastating departure. We feel your love and want everyone to know how much we appreciate the care and concern we are receiving from friends and loved ones the world over. May God bless you all and keep my beautiful baby until that day when we will see her again. May you rest in peace, my only precious daughter. Mommy and Daddy will always love you, as will everyone who knew you.
