He was born November 5, 1945, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of David Clifford and Patricia Ann (Barter) Stotts. David grew up in New Mexico, joining the United States Army as a Paratrooper, serving for three years. He retired from Kansas City Cold Storage, where he worked many years on the shipping and receiving team.
David Married Patsy Slaughter in 1967, in Kansas City, Missouri, this union was blessed with two sons, Robert and Stephen. Dave and Patsy loved to dance, especially with live music or the jukebox playing.
David loved the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting, but he also enjoyed passing the time watching his favorite shows or a football game. Dave was a great husband, father and grandfather, his greatest passion was his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Patricia Stotts; his wife, Pasty Stotts; and his Daughter-in-law, Margo Stotts.
David was survived by his two brothers, Chuck Stotts and Bart Stotts, both of Kansas City, Missouri; his two sons, Robert Stotts of Lawson, Missouri and Stephen Stotts, of Kansas City, Missouri; three granddaughters, Autumn Stotts of Kansas City, Missouri, Kayla Long and husband Coltan, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri and Ashton Stotts of Lawson, Missouri; two great grandchildren, Amari and Cooper; Life Partner, Connie Smidt; and several extended family members and friends.
A visitation for David will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone, Missouri 64119, with funeral services starting at 2:00 PM. Burial will be in the White Chapel Cemetery.
