Dennis L. Downhour Sr.

Dennis Lynn Downhour Sr. of Kansas City, MO passed away of complications related to Parkinson’s disease on January 19, 2016 at the age of 71. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest and Helen Downhour, brothers Forrest Jr, Donald and Robert. Survived by his loving wife Willena “Willie” daughters Lisa Owens of St Francis, MN, Anna Hanson (Michael Smith) of Minneapolis, MN and sons Dennis Jr (fiancé Leah Parrish) of Knoxville, TN, Patrick Schultz (Jenny) Kansas City, MO and 9 Grandchildren Kyle, Alex, Jordan, Lauren, Landon, Carley, Emma, Nora, William and Great Grandson, Wesley. Dennis was born May 1, 1944 in Morristown, MN, graduated from Morristown High School in 1962, served in the US Air Force from 1962-67 and retired from AT&T in 1998 after 30 years. Dennis was a devoted Husband, Father and Grandfather. He loved spending time with family, Scooby-Doo, the Rolling Stones, fishing and gardening. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, January 23, at Hillside Christian Church, 900 NE Vivion Road, Kansas City, MO 64118.
