Eileen Mary Rohr

Eileen Mary Rohr (Nee Kearney) 85 years old, of Kansas City, MO passed away suddenly on February 8, 2024. She was born in Brooklyn New York to John and Ellen (Nee Drew) Kearney and grew up in Bellmore, New York.

She was preceded in death by her husband Warren P. Rohr. Their four children: Peter (Mary) Rohr, Paul Rohr, Laura (Kevin) Kalota, and Jeannine Rohr were extremely fortunate to have such a loving, committed mother.

Eileen was very proud of her five grandchildren: Anton Rohr, Thorsten Rohr, Frey Kalota, Aryn Kalota and Nicholas Rohr.

Eileen enjoyed spending time with her family and reminiscing about her children’s childhood in Massachusetts, as well as the close friends her family made there. She has four younger sisters that she enjoyed chatting to and spending time with.

There are no words that effectively capture what a generous, kindhearted person she was and the devotion she had for her family. She always placed others’ needs before her own and was frequently called “Mom” by many of her children’s friends.

Eileen, or Lee as she was called by family and friends, had many stories of her career as an x ray technician, before her marriage. She was proud of her Irish heritage earning her the nickname “Irish Eyes are Smiling” in high school. Plus, she was known by her children for her ‘honest” comments in conversation.

Her sister Kathleen Macdonald of Florida passed away before her. She is survived by three sisters: Mary Braker of Florida, Ann Canavan of New York, and Sheila (Stew) Linden of Connecticut, a sister-in-law and brother-in-law Dorothy (Norman) Hasel of New York as well as many nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Eileen will be held Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A celebration of life will begin at 11:00 AM. A graveside service will immediately follow, all at White Chapel Funeral Home and Cemetery, 6600 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone, Missouri 64119.
